I've finally found the time to make the necessary fixes and improvements to the theme of my blog.
I decided to not name it a final release just because I could not test it with Internet Explorer 6. I believe that the differences with this beta release and the final one will just be some test with that browser and a better code cleanup

I began today to check my theme pages for passing W3C's Validator test against XHTML 1.0 Strict. There is still some work to be done before it will be ready but I would like to share with you a modified version of the very useful Expanding Text Plugin for Wordpress, which lets you to create blocks of text in posts or which either expand or collapse when clicked on. I really like the plugin, but I noticed that it does not produce valid XHTML tags. Here is a light modification of the plugin which outputs valid XHTML blocks: dd-expanding-text-valid-xhtml

When I announced BD-incollo 6 days ago, I also mentioned that I would have launched the service today. I really did that, and I'm very proud to announce the first site that runs BD-incollo.

Incollo.com is a collaborative debugging tool like Pastebin or other similar services, but it's slightly different from it. And it's different from other Pastebin clones even written using Rails or Django.

L'estate é finita, trascorsa pure molto velocemente e tutta con il mio amore, ma dopo la giornata di oggi mi sono reso conto che sia meglio ricominciare a pieno regime con la programmazione: ho giá avuto un incontro per l'alternanza studio-lavoro all'universitá, e compilato il CV. Questo significa che da domani fino a dicembre potrei essere chiamato da un'azienda dove trascorreró i prossimi 4 anni! L'unica cosa da fare é prepararsi e dimostrare il mio valore!

Ho comprato un nuovo notebook, stavolta piú piccolo e piú business oriented, ma che strizza comunque l'occhio alle applicazioni piú pesanti. Si tratta dell'Hp nx6325. Le prime impressioni sono del tutto positive, anche se ho impiegato ben tre giorni per riuscire a far funzionare l'ACPI. Ce l'ho fatta solo con la OpenSuSE 10.1 con un kernel da me compilato (i sorgenti utilizzati sono quelli del kernel 2.6.18-rc6-2, con le patch SuSE) ed otimizzato per i 64 bit ma soprattutto per la cpu dual core (un AMD Turion 64 X2, modello tl-60)
Da domani mattina  si ricomincia con qualche layout XHTML+CSS, e magari qualche occhiata ai libri di Java e C++

Continuando un po' la serie di off-topics, aggiorno chi si stará chiedendo che faccio di bello in sti giorni..
Sto lavorando al sito di un'agenzia immobiliare, Immoconsult-bz.it, che ha bisogno di un'accurato restyling visto che l'ho creato tipo 4 anni fa, quando firefox non esisteva, l'xhtml non si era affermato, ed io usavo solo asp
E' sotto osservazione pure il sito della mia scuola, Rainerum.it, creato con php/xhtml/css, ma ancora vuoto di contenuti (aspetto del materiale da preside e profe), e deve essere testato con differenti risoluzioni.
Lavoro anche ad un progetto dell'Associazione Il Germiglio Germogliobz.com, non al sito principale (creato da chissáchi con phpnuke), ma un suo fork che dovrebbe attirare di piú i giovani nel mondo della psicologia e dei servizi gratuiti che questi bravi signori offrono a tutti i ragazzi di bolzano, dalla semplice chiacchierata ai discorsi piú seri..
Insomma, non é che sto chiuso in camera a grattarmi! Inutile dire che questi, uniti allo studio, mi stanno rubando del tempo per il blog, anche se adesso sta riprendendo il suo naturale sviluppo..

Sempre meno tempo a disposizione.. sto gestendo e creando parecchi siti, l'ultimo dei quali é un felice vecchio ricordo, si tratta di immoconsult-bz.it, portale di un'agenzia immobiliare di Bolzano, che ho disegnato 4 anni fa. E si vede:
-Codice pseudo HTML 4 (comunque non valido)
-CSS con BoxModel sbilenco
-Visualizzabile solo con IE 5 - 6
-Scritto in ASP (ARGH!)
-Vuoto (codice definito ma senza contenuti)
Sono comunque felice di riprendere in mano il portale nonostante sia su un server IIS.. ASP non é un brutto linguaggio di programmazione, e senz'altro piú facile di PHP, ma meno stabile, meno funzionale e meno sicuro. E non é un linguaggio aperto.
La prima cosa che faró sará rendere il codice visualizzabile anche da firefox, poi lo tradurró in xhtml (devo decidere se 1.0 transitional o 1.1, penso il primo perché ha bisogno di alta compatibilitá, non lo visualizzeranno solo ragazzi che aggiornano il proprio software).
